100 Percent Incompetence

I hear our leaders trying to scare us again. Wait in line at the airport, have your expensive cosmetics confiscated, ooga booga. It would be great if they would stop, but they are so immature they would rather take us down to hell with them than stop.

Just stand back. This will be the baby temper tantrum that changed the world. Wake up your inner adult folks, it's time to save the world now. Stop fearing them. Stand up.

BP Pipeline SNAFU

This is just too convenient. They can shut down the pipeline and raise the price of oil? They are on the road to $130 a barrel - see the next entry.

Chaplain Lindsey Williams Meets His Destiny

The Non-Energy Crisis by Chaplain Lindsey Williams, came out decades ago, but society is finally ready to listen to him. He has been on more radio shows and panel discussions in the last six months, than he has since his book first came out.

His thesis is that international oil interests discovered a large oil reserve in Alaska in the 1970s, but they are keeping it secret. In 1980 they set up a thirty-year plan to drive the price of oil to $130 a barrel. Everything that has happened recently is the fulfillment of their plan. They are trying for an all out war in the Middle East to cut off America's foreign oil supply. Then they will ration out oil from their Alaskan reserves (continuing to pretend that there is not much available) and make huge profits for years to come because they will be the only source of oil for the whole USA.

Further, he said they will kill, if necessary, to prevent alternative energy and alternative vehicles. He said that they will make sure oil consumption continues to rise.

What if he is right and cold hearted, greedy people are orchestrating wars and carrying out an evil conspiracy? Can they sleep at night? The best way to defeat them is to develop alternative energy. We have to do it anyway, because oil is killing us. So, every time we develop new ways to produce and conserve energy, we strike a blow to forces that wish to enslave us in tyranny.

Records of Our Achievements

If it is the "end of days," as our "news" shows ponder, then what will happen to our history? Will it be lost forever? What about all of humankind's great achievements, inventions, and cultural history? Will there be future civilizations who will learn of our great writers and artists? Or will they just be forgotten?

One of the Sabian symbols just answered that for me. Sabian symbols are an astrology system developed in the 1920s. One of the symbols is: "Petrified tree trunks lie broken on desert sand" (Pisces 333). This symbolizes: "The power to preserve records of their achievements which is inherent in fully mature cultures."

In other words, great civilizations are rarely lost altogether. It says: "In one form or another, records of this culture endure or are mysteriously preserved." Still, preservation is never complete or perfect. "Only fragments remain, significant enough to reveal the essential archetypal form."

Editor's Note: For me, the worst thing about the end of the world would be the loss of our history. However, even if there is a nuclear war or catastrophic global climate change, eventually a new civilization would arise that would "discover" our 20th+ century existence.

Still, it is easier and better to avoid annihilation in the first place. It is difficult to understand the mindset of people who want the end of the world. Jesus may come back, but watch out you born-agains, because man will He be pissed.

Another Poll on 9/11 Attacks

Yet another poll shows a growing interest in the truth behind the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Here's the latest:

Did the US Attack Itself on 9/11?

Another poll, this one at the Ed Schultz Show, shows that Americans continue to doubt the official 9/11 story. This poll asks: "Do you believe the US Government attacked itself on 9-11?" The final results were: 69 percent Yes; 31 percent No.

These are not scientific polls. Maybe only the tin foil hat crowd are out on the Internet today. Maybe "normal" people who believe the official story are all busy working at their corporate jobs or taking their kids to soccer games or Nascar races. However, even if they were, how many tin foil hat people are there? Have we all become conspiracy theorists?

These polls are news in themselves. Who are these people among us who suddenly question the official story? Maybe people are going mad from the heat wave sweeping the country. Don't jump to conclusions, people! Maybe the Bush administration has a wonderful surprise in store for us and that's why they are being so sneaky.

What is Honor?

Is it worth it to be honest? Or, is that out of fashion now? If you are an honorable person, is it right to overlook others' dishonesty? Is it better to be "nice" and "not make waves"? Or, does evil only flourish when good people refuse to speak up?

Many of us are honest. People take pledges of honesty for a variety of jobs and organizations, from the Girl Scouts to the Realtors. Many of us take our pledges seriously.

It's too bad that so many people in control seem to have no shred of honor and don't care. Only the honor of thieves. Diebold, wars of aggression, war profiteering, dishonest lobbying, oil barons, illegal bookkeeping: the criminals are having their day.

MSNBC Poll: 87% Vote to Impeach Bush

MSNBC asks: "Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?" Click here for poll (not sure how long it will be posted) With 290,590 responses here's what people are saying:

87% Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.

4.3% No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."

7.2% No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

1.8% I don't know.

Editor's Note: What does this mean? What happens next?

Words Have Power

Florence Scovel Shinn (1871-1940) wrote a book called, "Your word is your wand." All the positive thinking authors echo this idea. You create vast areas of your reality with your words. Other people create the rest of your reality with their words.

The words you use can be soothing, calm, full of wisdom. You can create long lasting friendships and partnerships through your words and those connections will create a brilliant reality for you. Or, you can choose hurtful words; words that frighten, discourage, or deaden. It's up to you.

I'm a current day optimist stuck in a pessimistic culture. My god, the documentaries on how the terrorists can attack us! It plants the idea that we are in a much more dangerous reality than warranted. How about equal time for a lesson in communication? Let's get to the root of the problem. What do we do that infuriates them? Is there a way to modify our behavior so we can all get along?

If it is "they" who are "crazy," then why is it our country against the whole world? Are we maybe the ones who are crazy and everyone else thinks we are the monster? Let's have some positive discussion of the issues. Let's get out of denial! That's what positive thinking is all about. Why do we have to be pulled around by the nose? Only because of denial.

Perusing Old Journals

Today I'm starting a new project! I have five cartons of writers journals that are shipping off soon to the special collections library to be housed with my documenation and papers. Before sending them, I am reading through, finding forgotten things: stories, thoughts, dreams. Here's an entry from February 1996 I want to share, now in this terrible time of disasterous leadership and war.

Steps to Overcoming Denial
1. Become aware of and acknowledge the challenge or problem.
2. Set your intention on creating what you want.
3. Apply a powerful strategy.
4. Follow through with a high level of commitment.

Maybe I read this or heard it somewhere, maybe I copied it down from a flyer or poster, or something. There's no attribution. I'm not saying that I made up the concept, either. I'm just saying it's something that is relevant right now to the collective, not just me.

9-11 Truth Before it's Too Late!

Seems as though people are waking up. All those movies and web sites had an effect. A poll at the Durango Herald web site asked: "Was 9/11 a cover-up?" Out of a total of 3,748 votes, a whopping 63.98 percent said simply "yes." The other slumbering masses, at 36.02 percent, said "no," implying: "The light is too bright. Let me sleep. That could never be."

Last time I checked, all the experts agree that ethics are relevant and living with the truth is the best way to make good decisions. So would the rest of you 36-odd percent please open your minds up? We know you love George W. Bush, you may even think he is godly, but you must put your personal feelings for him aside. It will be difficult, believe me, I realize that. In about 2002, I told my mother (a Rush Limbaugh Republican) that I suspected Bush was complicit with 9/11 - she started crying. My stepdad had to intervene and it was not pretty. In fact, I have never had the guts to bring the subject up again. It's a huge leap, but I'm asking you to consider the possibility.

For one thing, consider the danger that we and the rest of the world are in due to poor leadership. We have to ask for further investigation. We must get to the bottom of it. What are they covering up? We want the truth. We are Americans. We can handle the truth. Let's stop this stalling and get to it. This is not a war. This is the survival of our species. We have to come to terms with this. Everyone agrees, 9/11 was a heinous crime. We cannot allow whatever madmen to control our reality. We need to shine light into the shadows. The hour is growing late.

A Novel Cure for Global Warming

In 1991 I wrote a story, where the protagonist is a scientist working on a cure for global warming. The story is posted free at this site (click here). In the years since writing the story, I have collected news articles about scientists who seemed to be synchronistically working along the same lines as my protagonist. Now, sandwiched between watching the Discovery channel's "Global Warming: What You need to Know," with Tom Brokaw, yesterday, and "Inconvenient Truth," by Al Gore, tomorrow, I want to summarize what my protag and the real scientists are up to.

Associated Press (c. mid-1990s) "A physics professor thinks he's found a way to halt depletion of Earth's ozone layer with electrical charges delivered by helium balloons.

"In his experiments at the University of California Los Angeles, Alfred Y. Wong found that electricity disabled the chlorine atoms released by ozone's atmospheric enemy, chlorofluorocarbons.

"Each chlorine atom is capable of destroying hundreds of thousands of radiation-screening ozone molecules.

"By charging chlorine atoms in a chamber that simulates Earth's atmosphere, Wong and his colleagues prevented them from chemically reacting with ozone, he said. As a result, ozone levels in the chamber returned to normal.

"Because the sun is constantly creating new ozone, ozone levels in the atmosphere similarly could be restored if the chlorine was disabled, Wong wrote in a paper published today in the journal Physical Review Letters. . ."

Editor's Note: In my story, the protagonist developed a plan to release a natural plant substance into the air in lighter than air bubbles, like soap bubbles. The plant tincture was derived in hydroponic tower farms that cooled the air and released the plant oils into ponds where the bubbles formed and floated away. Once they reached a certain altitude, they provided nutritional elements to the air that would replenish the planet's health and form tiny sun-block umbrellas over the earth. (I think that's how the final draft turned out! Read it for yourself: *.)

I went over my ideas with futurist Frank Ogden during the editing stage, to get it as realistic as possible. Frank is married to one of my travel writer friends. I also wrote to Alfred Y. Wong at UCLA, enclosing relevant portions of my novel.

Later, October 1996, I found another article that supported my protagonist, in the Washington Post National Weekly Journal. This article was headlined: "Can an Iron Supplement Cool the Globe? It accelerates the growth of plankton, but the long-range effects are uncertain." The article begins:

"Six years ago, amid widespread fears of global warming, the late ocean scientist John H. Martin made an audacious proposal: Reduce the risk of "fertilizing" the seas with thousands of tons of iron compounds. Dosing so, he and others argued, would stimulate minuscule marine plant organisms called phytoplankton (notably algae) so dramatically that they would gobble up huge amounts of carbon dioxide dissolved in sea water just as vegetation on the land removes C02 from the air. And reducing levels of CO2 - a notorious greenhouse gas that traps heat radiation in the atmosphere - would presumably cool the earth."

Editor's Note: In my novel, the premise of the substance is that it is natural. Spell that n-a-t-u-r-a-l. Add something natural, organic, to the seas or the air to bring the cure. Man (and I mean "man" not both man and woman) has always tried to treat the body of Gaia like a machine. Maybe if you just remove the old carburetor and install a new one, it will work. They reroute rivers, destroy wetlands, pull out oil and other minearls, and they just expect it to work fine. No, fella, you cannot fix a living thing like Earth as though it were a machine. Let a woman put it into plaintalk for you: the cure must be a squishy-earthy-organic cure, not a truck full of iron filings.

Enough ranting. I invite you to read my story, then lobby your local scientist to work on natural alternatives to gasoline, solvents, prescription drugs, insecticides, pesticides, and other treatments for our food supply, and other chemicals that are currently poisoning us and destroying the planet.

Other alternative technologies I'd like to see: ecosystem restoration, air purification towers in private homes and commercial buildings, detoxification for the human body (like the Japanese vinegar detox pads), recycling all electronic appliances, cars, tires, cement, etc., wider use of the miracle hemp plant.

Now, if you can stand one more, this article appeared in the May - June 2006 Sierra Club membership journal: "Scum of the Air: One man's quest to cool the planet - with blue-green algae." The article begins:

"Atop the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's 20-megawatt campus power plants stands a structure resembling a pipe organ. Instead of shiny metal, the 30 clear plastic pipes are pond-scum green, full of one-celled algae fighting global warming.

"The algae are eating carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides from the plant's emissions - 40 percent of the former and 86 percent of the latter - and turning them into harmless oxygen and nitrogen. Each day, an algae crop is harvested that could be dried and converted to solid fuel or processed into biodiesel or ethanol, transforming a pollution problem into a moneymaker.

"Chemical engineer Isaac Berzin came across the algae idea in a 1996 government report while working on a project for the International Space Station and was immediately impressed with the possibilities. . . ."

Editor's note: Is it just a coincidence that these actual scientists and this writer all came up with similar ideas? Maybe it is a coincidence, but that was one of the original plot points of the novel. Here's an excerpt from my manuscript. The story takes place in 2012 and the protagonist works for I.C. Inc. (her family's company) as a project coordinator.

"I.C. Inc. had been involved with the United Nations since the ozone project started in 2002. Predictions of weather changes and melting icecaps were coming true, so people organized a worldwide day of prayer for guidance. Everyone prayed to heal our world, asking for global awareness and correction of anything that adversely affect the Earth's climate. Although most people in the world prayed that day, many thought nothing would happen. However, the tide turned and powerful people forced corporations to adapt to stricter environmental policies. Scientists who were working on ways to heal the planet started to have breakthroughs. Seven scientists in five different countries simultaneously had vivid dreams about miracle chemicals that they could extract from plants that would neutralize harmful chemicals and possibly even radioactive material. The dreamers woke up with strong feelings about how to make the natural chemical compounds. They immediately found each other through the Internet and pooled their efforts.

"I looked up the dreams on the I.C. Inc. web site. The scientists had provided detailed records. Each of the dreams had specific information about the smell of the plant molecules. They described the smell as "rain" or "lotus petals" that bond to free radicals and form a protective coating something like sun block. Bonding and moisturizing images recurred in each scientist's dream. Many reported images of split atoms tearing the fabric of reality, or burning through it like a cigarette ember on a piece of cloth. Tears from the flowers healed the wounds.

"Each dreamer reported images of plants growing inside towers. The plants all had something to contribute, but certain plants could help more than others. There the dreamers' accounts differed. Some could name the plants, while others just had a vague impression of a leafy green plant with flowers that would supply the chief ingredients. They saw fountains spraying the water toward heaven, so that the healing molecules would float upward like little umbrellas to shade and protect the earth.

"All of the dreamers felt strongly enough to dedicate themselves to discovering the formula of the dream substance. Three of them lived in Russia. They took the lead in manufacturing the plant solution to restore the Barents Sea, which had become one of the most radioactive bodies of water on earth. The other scientists worked on ways to release the molecules into the atmosphere. When the groups working with water and air found out each other, they formed a consortium to pursue the research. They began testing trial substances on nuclear waste and C02 in 2007. When they came up with something that worked, they started using it to decontaminate water in 2010."

Editor's note. Draw your own conclusions. I swear I wrote the first draft in 1991 and then finished and posted it at my site a couple years ago. Here are some links to web sites that have ideas for healing the planet: click here.

The Land Where 9/11 Was Not True

Once upon a time there was a small child named Emilio Largess who had a collection of soldiers. He was sad and abused because of being raised by warlocks and witches. They beat and raped him so much that he hated the whole world. He grew up in a strange world where everyone else seemed to be happy. Everyone but him. Finally he met his henchmen, people like himself, and they formed a club. They all wanted to use Emilio's soldiers, so they got together every day and played war games.

As time passed, they decided that they were better than anyone else. So good, in fact, that they should run the world. They got their chance, played out their childhood fantasies, and put the rest of us in a world where 9/11 wasn't true. Amazing how your own world is now fodder from an action novel in a parallel universe. You live in a land of gods and demons created for you by that small group of men with active imaginations. (see: 9/11 Truth page at this website - click here)

The only problem is, you have been given this place and time to live your life. How can you live a normal life when you must live with the 9/11 lie? Here are your choices: a) you were born to see the Apocalypse, or b) you were born to be an extra (or have a speaking part) in a Bond-like true story where you are charged with hunting down and stopping an evil nemesis like S.P.E.C.T.R.E. There is a lot of work to do.

Lawsuits, Lebanon, other Chaos

Joseph Wilson and Valerie Plame file suit against the people who ruined her career and threatened her life; Mike Papantonio and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. file suit against Diebold and ES&S for election fraud. On another front, Israel attacks Lebanon. What could make this day anymore chaotic? What will happen next? Will the world end?

Negative thinking is contagious and if more people believe in the end of the world, it actually makes the future more dim. As long as hope is alive, the human race has a chance. Ernest Holmes (1887-1960), author of "Thoughts are Things" and many other volumes, said:

"We are at that place in scientific discovery where it is possible for this world to destroy itself. I am not worried about that, because if it does it does, and if it doesn't, it won't. . . . However, I do think it would be rather an inglorious final exit from this mundane universe and undoubtedly an unnecessary thing."

Try to hold onto what is good. Finally, some lawsuits are getting started to hold people accountable. People are starting to catch on to what's happening. Maybe we can survive. Maybe we can learn from our mistakes and turn things around. Maybe something good will come out of this miserable corrupt political era.

Beach at the End of the Street Protected

On the radio just now, somebody mentioned that all the money going to protect the beach at the end of the street, Amish popcorn factories, Old MacDonald's Petting Farm, and all the country's kitsch, could be going into the black budget for secret government programs. Remember the $200 hammers of the 1970s? All that money - it later came out - went to a black budget. It costs money to pay off election workers, and assorted thugs and conspirators. What to speak of purchasing air time - purchasing whole radio and TV stations!

So, America is being a big, fat, spoiled child. It's schizophrenic in a way - America has divided into bully and victim. Half the people are bullies, the other half are victims. "Mommy, Mommy!! Billy stole my election! Whaaaa." And, "I'm throwing your favorite pet into the wood chipper. Ha ha ha, crybaby!" That's exactly what we're dealing with here. The big bullies see a father figure in George Bush. They say brainwashed things like, "He believes in Jesus and that's good enough for me!"

What about you out there in the rest of the world ("ROW"). Is your country vulnerable to the same weakness? Are you going to play bully or victim to America's bully/victim split? Would you consider acting more mature? You have a chance to put the brakes on this devolving situation. Please don't be a bully or a victim. Please exercise whatever maturity you have developed in your long or short history and remain neutral. America may be wrong, but please do something to help. If you just stand there and mock us, your country could be the next to jump into the fray. We have to prevent a devastating world war now, not just a war on Iraq. See article below, "Stop My Country Before We Kill Again," at the bottom of this page: February 2006

Bush Grandfather Aleister Crowley?

George's grandmother Pauline Pierce (1896 - 1949) was said to be an intimate friend of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). Barbara Bush, G.W.'s mother, was born nine months after Pauline Pierce was said to consort with Crowley during his "supreme ordeal," an orgy of sexual pleasure that was his initiation as the Grade of Ipsissimus within his off beat religious order.

So, what if G.W.'s grandfather was Aleister Crowley? What difference does it make? Simply poetic justice.

Positive Thinking We Need Now

In a recent article from RenewableEnergyAccess.com, Dr. Steven Letendre said, "I envision a future with millions of vehicles connected to the electric grid providing storage to allow large amounts of wind and solar to become seamlessly integrated in to the electric grid ushering in a truly sustainable energy future. In addition, PHEVs would require less liquid fuels making it more likely that biofuels could meet the challenge of displacing 100% of petroleum as a transport fuel."

They have to work on the batteries, etc., but hey - this is America - it's about time we decided that we can solve our problems!

People like Dr. Letendre strike fear into the hearts of the oil people. Here are his credentials:

"Director of Research at the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development, located in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Letendre has over ten years of research experience in the field of renewable energy. He has published widely on the topic of solar energy and advanced vehicle concepts. Dr. Letendre has served as a consultant on a range of projects for a variety of organizations including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, California Air Resources Board, Union of Concerned Scientists, Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, and SUNY Albany's Atmospheric Sciences Research Center. Prior to joining the Prometheus Institute, Dr. Letendre was an Associate Professor of Business and Environmental Studies at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT. In 1997, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware in Urban Affairs and Public Policy with a concentration in energy policy and economics. In addition, he holds a masters degree in economics from Binghamton University, formerly State University of New York at Binghamton. Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies, Letendre was employed as an energy economist with the Research Triangle Institute in North Carolina."

Don't Be a Brainwashed Dummy

First you deny the actions of your corrupt leaders as rumors, gossip, or "liberal" media spin. Next you try to defend your corrupt leaders' actions. Finally, you realize there's something wrong with your leaders and disavow them.

Here is a script for a brainwashed dummy, drawn from the Arizona Republic letters to the editor column, July 9:

"I have had it with people who live to bad-mouth our government and our president. Find a new hobby!

"It has been a while since we have had a leader like G.W. Bush - a man who stands for something; someone who makes a commitment and does not waver.

"I am proud to say I am a member of the silent majority - the ones who are always reading about polls, but who are never polled. The ones who hold our tongues so as not to offend. The ones who elected our president!

"The U.S.A. is still the greatest nation on Earth and our government continues to feed the world and fight the wars that must be fought when other countries cower.

"We have learned the hard way that if we do not take the war to them (terrorists) they will take it to us.

"Some say there was nothing to celebrate this Fourth of July. There was plenty. We should be thankful for where we live and pay tribute to those who 'bleed on the flag to keep the stripes red!' " - B.L.T., Gilbert, AZ

Bush is a Liar - There - Someone Else Said It First

This is a message to members of the mainstream media who fear they may have repeated a "talking point" from "Karl Rove." Actually, Karl Rove does not exist. He he. This note is to give you permission to say "Bush is a Liar" and feel okay about it.

It's okay! You can do it! If you are afraid your boss will fire you for criticizing the Administration, then you have no balls. You cannot be a journalist with no balls. With your timid attitude, you may as well quit and become a journalist for the Hare Krishna movement. (I made the same mistake you are making, see MY BOOK - click here.)

If the biggest story in the country is the demise of our democracy through quite possibly stolen elections, the systematic dismantling of our social safety net, environmental laws, and international treaties, and a costly and pointless war, AND you do not investigate these (as Randi Rhodes says) lying sacks of hypocrite, then something is wrong with you. You look to your pay check as the ultimate reality check. You are so attached to your routine that you cannot imagine living a genuine life. Think about letting go of the tax cut too, because if you're making six figures, we have to borrow the money to afford your savings on taxes. Your tax break is blood money from the Bush family to look the other way.

Anyway, the good news is that now you can investigate the truth about the whole bunch of them! If you are a big big news programmer, make plans to investigation the Bush administration. Instead of eating the s--- they shovel to you, you can go out and find your own s--- to cover. Go to it! Get a life! Do something for your eternal soul today!

Demise of Ken Lay

Heart attack? Suicide? Murder? Faked his own death? Whatever the case, he's gone. Mark Twain once said: "I could not attend the funeral, but I approved of it." Rest in peace - don't let the door hit you on the way out.
