Following is an excerpt from "Top General Sees Plan to Shock Iraq Into Surrendering," by Eric Schmitt and Elisabeth Bumiller, published in The New York Times, Wednesday 5 March 2003:

"The nation's top military officer said today that the Pentagon's war plan for Iraq entailed shocking the Iraqi leadership into submission quickly . . . Gen. Richard B. Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, declined to give details. But other military officials have said the plan calls for unleashing 3,000 precision-guided bombs and missiles in the first 48 hours . . ."

I would like to know what happens after that. Will terrorists attack the U.S. to level our great cities? Devastating Iraq in 48 hours is a blatantly stupid and cruel policy that will kill many civilians. Clearly Russia would oppose this plan. What if Russia, China, and North Korea join forces with the Moslem countries to destroy America? How many troops, missiles, and nuclear bombs does Bush's policy invite? It is clear that Bush is determined to start World War Three. It's up to us to stop him, because all Americans will have to take the blame - and the blowback.

One Good Reason to Impeach George W. Bush
Following is an excerpt from "September 11th And The Bush Administration: Compelling Evidence for Complicity," by Walter E. Davis, Ph.D. (August '03). Following is an excerpt and the last word on why Bush needs to be impeached. You can read the entire article at InformationClearinghouse.info

Neither the Joint Chief of Staff, the Secretary of Defense nor the President of the United States acted according to well established emergency protocols. Acting Joint Chief of Staff General Richard B. Myers stated that he saw a TV report about a plane hitting the WTC but thought it was a small plane. So he went ahead with his meeting. By the time he came out of the meeting the Pentagon had been hit. Whose responsibility was it to relay this emergency to the Joint Chief of Staff?

The Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was at his desk when AA77 crashed into the Pentagon. How is it possible that the National Military Command Center, located in the Pentagon and in contact with law enforcement and air traffic controllers from 8:46 a.m., did not communicate to the Secretary of Defense, also at the Pentagon, about the other hijacked planes especially the one headed to Washington? After he was notified, why did he go to the war room?

The actions of the President, while the attacks were occurring, indicate that he deliberately avoided doing anything reasonably expected of a President wanting to protect American citizens and property. Why didn't the Secret Service inform him of this national emergency? When is a President supposed to be notified of everything the agencies know? Why was the President permitted by the Secret Service to remain in the Sarasota elementary school? At 9.05, nineteen minutes after the first attack and two minutes after the second attack on the WTC, Andrew Card, the presidential chief of staff, whispered something in President Bush's ear.

Pray for Peace News Editor's Statement Endorsing Impeachment
George W. Bush deserves to be impeached for:
Weakening past environmental achievements;
allowing the Justice Department to take away citizens' Constitutional rights;
ignoring the California energy crisis due to a conflict of interest;
allowing a conflict of interest in deciding the nation's energy policy;
allowing a conflict of interest in financial dealings with Iraq, Al Quada, the Unification Church and other right-wing religious institutions, oil companies, weapons manufacturers, Haliburton, and Carlyle Group;
proposing a financial conflict of interest in the separation of church and state;
threatening to use nuclear weapons;
breaking weapons treaties;
promoting a foreign policy to incite terrorism and endanger American citizens and interests worldwide;
developing weapons of mass destruction, such as high-power microwave beams, agent defeat bombs, weapons-grade incendiary devices, and sonic bullets;
and failing to act on 9-11 warnings and then lying about it.

[This letter is in response to another reader who argued that Moslems have been silent in condemning Osama bin Laden's form of terrorism.]

Moslems Condemn Osama bin Laden

Muslim clerics and Muslim nationals the world over have condemned - and continue to condemn - Osama bin Laden in the strongest possible terms (see American Academy of Religion). The media, unfortunately, report only those sensational comments made by a handful of fringe elements.

Islam, like all religions, is not immune to extremism. It is unfair to generalize that 1.3 billion of the world's population somehow support terrorism.
