Disclaimer: Although ISKCON claims to represent a branch of the Vaishnava Hindu tradition, we warn all visitors to keep their ten-foot poles and a few grains of salt at hand while scanning through these links. See our "Trouble in Paradise" section for the other side of the story (click here) or get info. from the Betrayal Files (at this site). Note Below: Allow me to clarify that I left ISKCON because of bureaucratic abuse, but still keep my faith in Krishna. In fact, my faith in Krishna and Caitanya now has nothing to do with ISKCON. It was a visit to a traditional Hindu temple in Vrindavana, India, in 1982 that cemented my faith in Krishna. In my opinion, ISKCON has drifted far from what is prescribed in sacred Hindu texts and what is still practiced in parts of India, due to bureaucratic in-fighting and abusive distortions of the philosophy. For example, they have told children that being abused in an ISKCON school is "their own karma." I encourage serious spiritual seekers to explore Hindu thought and not equate ISKCON with the true Hindu religion. Therefore I have included links to genuine India at the India links page above.
